PRIVACY POLICY

Background

FD Partners is a specialist executive search firm dedicated to appointing senior leadership positions within the education sector. Since our founding, we have supported schools, colleges, multi-academy trusts and universities to source leaders across finance, operations, HR, and governance.

Our Values

We take the utmost care in handling the sensitive information entrusted to us by our business partners. Protecting the privacy expectations of our clients, candidates, and employees is a commitment we consistently uphold.

As part of our work, we are entrusted with highly sensitive information, from confidential insights into our clients’ businesses to the professional ambitions of executives. The foundation of our services lies in this trust — knowing that any information shared is treated with integrity and used only in line with agreed intentions.

Our clients and candidates trust us to safeguard their information, and we honour that trust by adhering strictly to our published policies. As a trusted adviser, our credibility depends on demonstrating the highest standards of care, confidentiality, and responsibility in managing and protecting the information shared with us.

The Information We Collect

FD Partners is an executive search firm and, in order to deliver our services, we collect and maintain a range of personal data in a proprietary and highly confidential database accessible only to FD Partners consultants. To provide our clients with board and executive search and assessment services, as well as to enable communication and collaboration within FD Partners, we collect and process information relating to individuals (“Personal Information”).

This typically includes details commonly found in a curriculum vitae, such as name, address, telephone number, email address, employment history, academic qualifications, professional certifications, languages, and other relevant skills. Where permitted by law, it may also include additional information such as age, nationality, race, compensation details, a record of our contact history with you, and comments from third parties. Our records are compiled from information provided directly by you, from publicly available sources, and from trusted third parties.

By submitting your information to FD Partners, by any means, you confirm your willingness to share this information with us and to be considered, where appropriate, for confidential executive searches conducted by FD Partners. Please note that if you choose not to provide your personal information, FD Partners will be unable to offer you the services available through this website, as employment, educational, and other personal information are essential to assessing your career opportunities.

If you do not wish your information to be shared or transferred in this manner, or if you prefer not to participate in our services and benefit from the executive career opportunities we provide, please do not submit your personal information via this website.

How We Process Personal Information

We will use your personal information to contact you in relation to board and executive search or assessment assignments carried out on behalf of our clients, which involve the identification, evaluation, and/or selection of qualified candidates.

To present you as a potential candidate, your personal information may be shared with our clients and, where appropriate, transferred between FD Partners’ offices and consultants.

Each FD Partners office is committed to maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and implementing the security measures required in the jurisdiction in which it operates, in order to protect your information.

Data Storage

Your information is stored within FD Partners’ secure CRM database, which is accessible only to authorised FD Partners employees. Outside of our network, your information may be shared on a strictly confidential basis with: (a) clients, where necessary, to carry out the purposes outlined in this Policy; (b) third parties where disclosure is required by law; and (c) carefully selected service providers, but only to the extent needed to perform services on our behalf (for example, security, web hosting, background checks, or other administrative functions). Personal information will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as otherwise required by law.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We will retain your information for up to 4 years or until you directly request for us not to, in order to handle any outstanding or future enquiries. After this time, it will be destroyed.

Disclosures of Personal Information

We do not sell or rent your information to third parties, and we do not share your personally identifiable information with others, except in the following circumstances: we may share your information within FD Partners; we may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or where necessary to protect or exercise our own legal rights or those of others — for example, in relation to court proceedings or lawful requests from regulatory or law enforcement authorities. We also reserve the right to use and disclose any information collected via our website that does not personally identify you. Please note that SMS opt-in details or telephone numbers collected for SMS communication are never shared.

Your Rights

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, or to request access to, correction of, or removal of your record from our systems. If you ask us to remove your record, FD Partners will retain only the minimal personal information necessary to prevent future contact, to maintain a record of information previously disclosed to our clients, and to protect FD Partners’ legitimate interests in line with applicable legal requirements. Please note that if you withdraw your consent to this Policy, you will no longer be able to participate in FD Partners’ search or assessment projects. You may exercise your rights by contacting your FD Partners consultant, and we will comply with any request as required by law.
